GVDS took in charge the interior design of the common spaces in Nida Goztepe Tower, located in İstanbul. The entrance lobby of the office tower with a high ceiling was considered as a basilica plan where two side naves were allocated as a waiting area while the middle nave was considered for welcoming.
The wooden ribbed surface behind the help desk, which represents the corporation identity, also emphasizes the entrance axis continuing on the ceiling. To support the flamboyant atmosphere, the columns that were separated with deep joint gaps were also covered with colored glass. The hardness of the floor was softened with alternating shiny and frosty stone stripes. It was aimed to create a balanced contrast inside, by the utilization of wooden ceiling and shiny glass and metal components. A sculpture, which is a work of Gorkem Volkan, the founder of GVDS, was also placed in the entrance space.
The traces of the atmosphere created in the lobby continue in the building’s other common spaces, while faceted wooden surfaces were created on the ceilings of common meeting rooms providing acoustic comfort.
